Pilloved
Shared medication tracking

Never miss a dose, together.

Pilloved is the medication tracker for when somebody else cares whether you took it. Look after a partner, a parent or a child — or let them look after you — with shared schedules, a gentle nudge when a dose slips, and alerts when one is missed. Medication names, doses, and notes are encrypted on your device.

Features

Everything you need to care, together

Pilloved turns a private routine into a shared, gentle system of support — reliable underneath, warm on the surface, never clinical.

Look after each other

The whole point of Pilloved. Bring everyone who cares into one group — each person a patient, a monitor, or both — and never wonder alone whether a dose was taken.

Gentle reminders

Timezone-aware reminders land right on schedule, with Snooze straight from the notification. Fixed times, or an “any time before…” window, per medication.

The nudge loop

When a dose slips by, a monitor can send a kind nudge. The patient replies Taken or Not now — and everyone stays in the loop, instantly.

Missed-dose escalation

Doses are generated and watched server-side, so an overdue dose escalates to monitors even when phones are asleep. Quietly reliable.

Insights & streaks

Adherence percentage, current streak, and a taken-vs-scheduled chart over 7, 14 or 30 days turn everyday care into a quiet, encouraging win.

Managed profiles

Track meds for a child or an elder who'll never open the app. Caregivers log and nudge on their behalf — built in from day one.

Encrypted on your device

Medication names, doses, and notes are encrypted on your device — our servers store only scrambled data. We can't read it, and we never sell it.

Our story

Why Pilloved exists

It started as a workaround between two people. It only became an app once it kept working.

My wife, Simone, has always struggled to remember to take her medication. We tried apps, calendars, sticky notes, the same time every day, different times of day — nothing stuck.

The one thing that worked was me. A text, or a call (sometimes two or three before it landed), but that put the remembering on me: I had to know when, and I had to try again if I'd picked a bad moment.

So I built Pilloved — a reminder for both of us. Now when a dose slips, we both know, and either of us can nudge. Neither of us has to be the one who remembers. A few months in, it has meant far fewer missed doses for us both. We started using it for our animals when they needed medication too, and it turned out to be just as good at keeping a whole household straight.

Other people are living the same thing, so we're launching it. The goal hasn't changed: private, easy to use, and genuinely useful whether you take one medication or manage many.

How it works

Up and running in three gentle steps

No clinical setup, no jargon. Make a group, add the medications, and let Pilloved keep everyone in sync.

1

Create your group

Start a group and invite the people who matter with a single-use code. Everyone joins with the roles that fit — patient, monitor, or both.

2

Add meds & schedules

Add each medication and set its times — fixed, a window, every few hours, or as needed. Assign it to a person or a managed profile, then set who can log and who keeps watch.

3

Take care, together

Doses appear on everyone's Today view in real time. Log them, nudge gently when needed, and watch the streaks grow.

The nudge loop

Care that reaches across the room — or the country

The nudge is the heart of Pilloved. When a dose slips, the people who love you can send a gentle reminder — and you can reply in one tap.

  • A kind poke, never a guilt trip

Monitors tap Nudge on a pending dose. The patient gets a warm reminder — not a scolding.

  • Escalates if no one answers

Silence doesn't get ignored. An unanswered, overdue dose escalates to monitors automatically.

  • A cooldown keeps it gentle

A per-dose re-nudge cooldown means support never tips over into nagging.

Who it's for

One app for every kind of care circle

Pilloved bends to your situation — whether you're two people looking out for each other or a family rallying around one.

Couples

Be each other's gentle backup. Both partners are patients and monitors, nudging with love when a dose slips.

Families with kids

A child is a managed profile; both parents monitor and log. Everyone sees the same schedule, no group-text chaos.

Elder care

Adult children keep watch over a parent's medication from anywhere, with escalation if a dose is missed.

On your own

Just you and your meds. Reminders, streaks, and insights make a calm, capable personal tracker.

Pets

Cats, dogs, and anyone else on a course of medication. A managed profile puts their doses on the same Today view as yours, so the antibiotics don't get missed either.

Your medications, encrypted on your device

Medication names, doses, and notes are encrypted on your device — our servers store only scrambled data.

  • We can't read your medications

We don't sell your data or use health information for advertising. Medication names, doses, and notes reach us as ciphertext we hold no key for — the one exception is a short name you choose for notifications, and you can turn it off.

  • Care is never paywalled

Tracking your own medications, your reminders, and being looked after by someone else are free — and always will be. Paid plans add reports, refills and a wider circle, never the dose itself.

Timing, schedules, and group membership aren't encrypted — that's what keeps reminders and missed-dose escalation reliable, even while your phone is asleep.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything you might be wondering before you bring your people on board.

Who is Pilloved for?

Anyone who wants medication to be a shared responsibility instead of a solo worry — couples, families with children, adult children caring for a parent, or a single person who just wants a calmer reminder app.

What exactly is a nudge?

A nudge is a kind poke from a monitor about a specific dose. The patient gets a notification, and answers Taken or Not now in the app. If no one responds, the dose escalates so it never silently falls through the cracks.

Can I track medication for someone who won't use the app?

Yes. Managed profiles let you track meds for a child or an elder with no login of their own. Caregivers log doses and send nudges on their behalf — it's a core part of Pilloved, not an afterthought.

Does it work across time zones?

Every medication stores the time zone its schedule is written in, and doses are generated server-side to match. Reminders arrive at the right local time, even when people in a group live apart.

Is my health data private?

Yes. Medication names, doses, and notes are encrypted on your device before they ever reach us — our servers store only scrambled data, so we can't read it and we never sell it. On top of that, row-level security means people in your group only see what they're meant to: patients see their own data, monitors see only the medications assigned to them. (Timing and group membership aren't encrypted, which is what lets reminders and missed-dose escalation keep working even when your phone is asleep.)

How much does Pilloved cost?

Taking a medication, and being told when one is missed, are never behind a paywall. Free covers unlimited medications of your own, unlimited reminders, logging every dose, 30 days of adherence history, being a patient in someone else's group, and looking after one person plus one managed profile. Pilloved Plus — $4.99/month or $39.99/year — adds full adherence history, doctor-ready PDF and CSV reports, refill tracking, health logs, shared notes, and a second person to look after. Pilloved Family — $9.99/month or $89.99/year — makes people, managed profiles and caregivers unlimited. One subscription covers the whole family, and the person being looked after never pays.
